I am but a mortal man

I am flawed please understand

But I never try to be blind to you

I am in awe of all that you do

I am capable of being a fool

But I try always to a friend to you

I get lost sometimes when I write

I miss things from time to time

But I try do do best by my friends

I would never knowingly ignore them

Life is harsh and time is full

Do things that we have to do

But I am devastated in truth

If I hurt a great friend by being a fool

And giving you reason to percieve I am ignoring you

It’s not and never will be true

I am honoured to have friends like you

Unworthy that’s me in truth

But I am just a simple guy who’s flawed

And who would never choose

To be blind to you in what I do.
