From the start with Adam and Eve
We have never learnt to shrug off corruption,
Enticed by that we know we should not crave
Yet our curiosity and greed to savour all things,
Regardless of whether it’s something we need
Committing sin and allowing ourselves to be open to corrupting,
Is a flawed part of our nature we keep repeating
It seems that this sadly is well within believing,
But we lie and convince ourselves that this is not true
It’s a problem one day we will one day come to rue.
