I am exasperated

But never agitated

By the way life is today,

Half the world know empathy

Half seems to know none at all,

Some wish to care and want to share

Some just enjoy to amass greed,

So what can I do but simply focus on retaining my inner peace

And implore you to do the same,

It’s difficult to effect any change

In a world where some won’t listen to reason,

But I won’t judge or eschew blame

I’ll just simply walk away and find a better place.
