So tired that my body aches

I struggle to stay awake,

I am falling in and out of sleep

Sometimes in a state of sleep paralysis,

My dreams reflect my consciousness

And ache like my tiredness,

I feel I need to sleep for a hundred years

My body hurts so I shed a tear,

And as I lay right here

Cramps seize my legs and my calves tighten,

Feeling like they’ll tear, this pain I am fighting,

Reflects my life and how it’s hurting

Because it’s about the grind,

Exhausting body and mind,

I hope tomorrow brings some respite time

Is this really how my life has come to be defined,

So tired my soul and spirit aches

Just like my heart and mind

I feel that I perpetually climb

And there for me is the definition of being tired.
