Descendance

Descended from fish

We grew legs and crawled,

Up on to land

And out of the primal ooze,

Grew into apes

And who truly knew,

Just what homosapiens would do,

Destroying the environment that gave it life,

That spurned its own nature

And became creations blight,

A cancerous carbuncle upon this earth

Mankind misunderstood it’s worth,

Did not see the truth in its existence,

That food, sex and water

Was all need to continue living,

And now it travels its own road to its own self extinction

I think oh, to be that humble fish again.
