Love in a hostile place

They found love in a hostile place

Criticised for being from a different race

Judged by the colour of their face

And scorned and threatened for comming from a different faith

This hostility is malignant

This is why I am so indignant

People who criticise the difference

Are blind, cruel and ignorant

In my eyes they are insignificant

Their views are so belligerent

Rooted in fear and manifesting hate

They could careless about the misery, they cause

Because they’re cold inside and just don’t care

Brutal men and women who are always there

Hiding in the shadows so just beware

They strike at love, straight at its heart

Seeking to rip real love apart

Content to banish the light and leave all lovers cast adrift lost and alone in the dark.
