So much of our pain is self inflicted,

We’re addicted to the suffering and the drama,

We seek to dwell in a place we know as Dhama

Yet end up living and dwelling in Naraka,

Mainly through our selfish and mindless ways,

Wishing for enticements that turn us into slaves,

Money and material possessions take the place

Of acts of kindness and selfless displays.
