Glimmering in the night sky

I see reflections in my mind’s eye

Of a beautiful star looking like an angel

I see how it glistens, how it shines

Is it cosmic by wonderous design

Or is it a vision sent by the divine

All I know is it consumes my time

Tripping galaxies and light fantastic

I don’t believe that I am overreacting

Some may say I’ve lost my mind

But I just do not care

Because I know it’s you shimmering there

A glimpse of what’s to come you wanted to share

That when our life ends we continue on

And you are that star light angel shining from the beyond

And as the tears fill my eyes

With memories of sadness as well as happiness

I find comfort knowing that in another place

Our souls will once again unite

Among the stars.
