Vertiginous tower

I stand at the foot of a vertiginous tower,

I can feel it’s dark electromagnetic power,

A cross between an ebony obilisk

And an ancient pyramid,

Ebony and shiny

Before it I feel so tiny,

I have left existence behind me,

Now I am here, which is nowhere in space

With no floor underneath me

Or at least that’s all I can perceive,

Yet I do not find myself falling,

Instead I am walking on darkness,

Eternity below my feet,

What is the meaning of this vertiginous tower,

And what’s the source and essence of its power,

Ancient and alien,

With hieroglyphic inscriptions,

I run my hands over it,

There’s a glow and this universe I exit,

Into a parellel dimension

I am left with so many questions,

But my voyage of discovery

And enchantment begins here,

All new beginnings

And voices whisper I’ve nothing to fear,

And I trust these voices

Because my lost loved ones are coming through,

Loud and clear

Telling me to find them,

Those who I lost are still living here.
