Your amour can’t help you

We wear a suit of chain mail

To keep ourselves together,

We put on masks and hide away

We try hard to concentrate,

On being strong and stoic

To hide our vulnerable self,

That lays beneath the surface

Cut us do we not bleed,

Because it’s just skin deep,

No matter about your defences

They are so easily penetrable,

No matter how hard you try

I hear how you suffer and cry inside.

  1. I hope one day this old heroic ethos will die away.. I see signs of it everywhere the vulnerable inner feminine is on the rise.. it needs to be spoken for.. vulnerability is true power.
