The temerity of us

For kicking up a fuss,

About the state of our society

And the media seeking to divide us,

Creating hate towards immigrants

And agitation between black and white lives,

Is it not about time that we got wise,

Is it not about time we do what’s right

Demand higher standards of ethics,

And raise our moral standings,

Life is short and we need to discover far more grounding,

To pull us all towards levels of unity, equality and tolerance,

To see us evolve into a humanity rooted in love and peace,

While focused on harmony, love and understanding

That’s how we can improve our society and it’s future planning,

Whereby we will transcend how we live today,

Into a future which is far less depraved.
