Barbaric crimes
Are not made right,
By equally barbaric acts
By the state,
An eye for an eye
Don’t make things right
It just leaves the whole world blind,
It’s not the way
To punish crimes,
To excite people
By some grand design,
It make the state
No better than the crime,
I will not submit my mind
To thinking that executions right
But it’s a sign of humanities blight.
