Don’t turn you back on some
If you do you may be done,
By their act of treachery
While smiling at you and me,
Snakes in the grass
Or phantoms in the shadows,
Some people are beyond our trust
And after they betray and hurt you,
Watch them lasciviously, lustfully grinning as they do,
While betraying you for reasons only they knew.
