Swimming in the river of life

On a dark and rainy wind night

I saw the shafts of many bright lights,

Criss crossing across the skies

And then it hit me hard this time,

I looked at you and looked you in the eye

And said we need to swimming in the river of life,

I expected you to say I had lost my mind

But you have me that wild eyed smile,

And we both agreed that’s where we needed to be

Swimming in the river of life,

Learning to discover our own light

And as we swam, to our suprise from our being the light shone bright,

Giving off another shaft into the sky

Just like the other souls on this dark, rainy, windy night,

We all discovered the same sign

And a message sublime and divine,

Telling us to swim in the river of life

Healing all our sins and making us feel justified,

As we were swimming in the river of life,

Casting shafts of radiant light,

High into the sky on this dark, rainy, windy night.
