I visited the old fairground
Where we used to go,
And saw the rusted old big wheel
That now no longer goes,
And the lights no longer shine
And there’s no more rides,
Which I have to say brought tears to my eyes,
And I can still hear the music
And the laughter and the screams,
But all that there is now are memories
Now I sit and think back about how you and I were happy,
But now like the fairground
We are no longer continuing,
And it’s sad and it’s heartbreaking
Why did all this need to end,
But I’ll cherish all the memories no matter where and when.
