My heart breaks when I see ravaged lives

Homeless people living inhumane lives in these times,

Where people speak of prosperity

That is part of a world of ever consuming greed,

And it’s become a dog eat dog society

Where people now vocalise brutal beliefs,

Based on one for you and the rest is for me

Where some get offended by talk of fairness and equality,

And helping other less fortune and in need

It breaks my heart when I see, this decline in society,

What happened to love and decency

We need this and far more unity,

Where you’re scoffed at when you say you believe

In peace, harmony and liberty,

And they laugh at spirituality

Because there are those with no soul,

And hate on us for having the clarity

For being awake and aware and able to see,

The heartbreaking truth of the destruction of our earth

And it’s environmental protection needs,

And the extinction of important species

Its heartbreaking to see how humanity bleeds,

And it’s all because of greed and those who are power hungry.
