You left me in the dark
In this cold and lonely place,
Nothing here to help me
In this old run down space,
I miss those loving arms
That familiar warm embrace,
And now I dwell alone
As if I am the last of our human race,
I can’t see no future
I can’t see no light,
I can’t believe in anything
That you have ever said,
Now I feel betrayed by you
It’s something I thought you’d never do,
And now I just sit here in this darkness, cold
Remembering your beautiful face,
Which is a pain that just won’t fade
The imagery is a memory that is consciously made.
