We are led to the slaughter
By those who divide and rule
Led into battle and treated like fools,
While they send us to the front
They stay safely well back at the rear,
It’s not their mothers shedding pain filled tears
For the brothers and the sisters lost,
Who died for no real cause but paid a high cost
So many innocent young people have been lost,
At the behest of those seeking power and greed
They make the innocent suffer and bleed,
The only people who benefit are the arms dealers on who feed
Death destruction and ongoing misery.
