Vikings

Forged in the Halls of Valhalla

Viking warriors fought with valour,

Striving for glory in the name of Odin

With trickster Loki causing mayhem,

With hammer, axes, spear and shields

These warrior men and women would never yield,

Blood curdling cries and a ferocious look in their eyes

Vikings sent others off to hide,

In a hope they would not be raped and pillaged

These Viking warriors went from village to village,

These Norse people who found glory in death

Who’s skills were brutal but deft,

Never considered those left behind who wept

They only thought who to rampage on next.
