A time of retribution

She brought the power

To the walls of his castle,

She brought an army

Of fearless brave men,

He hid behind the walls

It was his prison,

For invoking this war to the end

He had an army of men,

Who were mercenaries

No scruples and very barbaric,

And no faith and no belief

Now the final battle was upon them,

And they could see the fire in her eyes

And she saw the fear that was brewing,

Behind the walls built on this kings lies,

They charged and fully assaulted

The castles on every side,

Riding around it in circles

While a ram beat at the doors to get inside,

They used arrows and burning oil to resist her

But she was a powerful and an immovable force,

She roared at him as the king watched from his tower

Then the doors gave way and the course,

Of the battle changed as they rode into the castle

Like bees they rode in like a swarm,

The fighting was intense and she fought hard

Until the courtyard was just a pile of corpses,

And down came the king from his tower

And he stood before her in his hand he gripped his sword,

He looked deep into her eyes

She was a beauty and she was in full command,

She was a warrior and now a Queen

To her people a Goddess serene,

And now he faced her guilty of brutality,

He had slaughtered many of her people

And butchered her whole family,

But she was unlike him and would not kill him

And she turned, rode away on her horse,

He thought he had got a reprieve

But her army had different thoughts,

She left them to do as they will

And they made sure his blood was spilt,

To pay for the lives of their loved ones

Then they destroyed the castle he built,

She sat on a hillock and viewed this

Clad in her armour, leather, lace and silks,

She meditated on this moment

No desire for anymore kills,

All she wanted now was peace and to be happy

And for her people to feel the same,

She triumphed and now it was over

And gone was her hurt, anger and rage,

And now it was time for healing

And to move into a brand new age,

Of love, compassion and understanding

As her as the Queen of Vale.
