Urban philosophies

Of wanting to be free,

In a greedy society

In exploitive and  corrupt degrees,

They leave us so vexed

Wondering what they will do next,

To profit while we struggle

These people don’t care about us,

We’re left obeying the rules

As they break them all,

They treat us and take as as fools

These political suited ghouls,

And in our neighbourhoods we work

And as we do we feel the hurt,

Of paying for all the crimes

Enacted by poor governments over time,

And they want us to put up and to shut up

They could care less about those down on their luck,

This is why society is so fucked,

They’ve made acceptable to cheat and lie

Which is something we should all despise,

But as we look them in the eyes,

All we see is contempt for our lives,

These political suited ghouls

Who live for breaking all the rules,

Getting rich as people suffer, that’s cruel,

I think it’s time that this changed

Let’s make sure they’re named and shamed,

In a hope it will stop happening again,

Urban philosophies

Rejecting all greed,

And helping those who are in need

To build a better society,

Based on care and equality.
