I need to stop now

And still my mind,

Things are to full on

In these trying times,

I need to sit and meditate

In this time of so much greed and hate,

I can’t believe what’s going on

And so many people

Are to naive to see how it is all wrong,

People sleeping rough

And living out of food banks

How does this happen in an advanced society,

And don’t point to others

And say that it’s not just here,

What happens somewhere else

Means nothing really to me,

So I need to stop

And still my mind,

And leave all this stress behind,

I need to sit and meditate,

And let go all the pent up

Frustration and anger,

And find my inner peace

And reconnect with my inner love,

Because this way is my only way to find a way out and release,

In these times that I am finding trying and tough.
