Desperate lives

Refugee immigrants

Sit looking from foreign shores,

Contemplating risking their life

In a hope of finding more,

They dream and have expectations

Of a new and better future,

But many of them may drown at sea

Men, women and children,

Where is the humanity

For these poor desperate souls,

After we bombed their places and their homes

At brought fear in their lives,

And left them in poverty

So we should Expedite their journey here,

And help them safe and become settled

That is what decent governments do,

And not treat them no better than cattle.
