I sat and waited for my time to come

Sat and waited because I thought things would happen at the right time,

I sat and waited patiently

Watching as the world passed by me,

But everything happens at the right time I am told

I sat here waiting as a youth now I am old,

Then one day someone came and visited me

And said that time was up and now I had to leave,

I looked around and there was no one else to see

I asked why had the time not arrived for me,

They replied that nothing comes along with doing anything

You should have done something, maybe you should have tried everything,

Not just do one thing and think that was enough

Then sat back and waited and I know it’s tough,

But although things come along in the right time

You got to work to help it along by design,

It’s only then I realised I had died

And I was forgotten by those on the other side,

For as I sat patiently I did nothing of any worth

And believe me now that truth really hurts,

So don’t just sit and wait patiently for your time

Make it fucking happen and live a noteworthy life.
