Time passes, nobody sees

The darkness that’s coming

No one wants to believe,

The wind knows as it rustles

The autumn rusted leaves,

The animals know too

Each and every species,

Nature knows so why don’t we

Because we’ve divorced ourselves from it,

So as the darkness draws nearer

We are not able to stand witness,

And the increasing rain

Along with the floods keep happening,

And the heat and the fires

Keep on burning and incinerating,

The earth as we know it

As if it’s trying to eradicate,

Some kind of plague that is taking place,

As if it is a victim of a pestilence

That it’s struggling hard to get rid of,

And I think we all know who

Is the darkness and cause of this,

Yes mankind is the pestilence

Ravaging earth’s land and sea,

Polluting the air that all species breathe

Yes we are the cancer, humanity,

And we need to change quickly

Or we’ll be the ones who go extinct.
