Don’t be consumed by life

Don’t let it erode you away,

Don’t let it dominate

The way you are,

And how you go about your day

Take some time for reflection,

Spend a little time just with you,

Give yourself some well earned love

That others may not do,

Take time heal your wounds,

Spend some time refreshing your soul

You have the right to do this,

To help to develop and to grow,

So don’t be consumed by life

And by those around you,

Who place demands on all you do,

Be kind to everybody

But more importantly remember to be kind to you.
