I won’t feel bad

About being aware,

Standing up for those

Who are in need of care,

I won’t feel bad

For being alert,

To those who’s rights are abused

And they end up hurt,

We live now in a callous society

Where were sneered at

For declaring our liberties,

And for demanding our rights

And freedoms and beliefs,

Call it what you wish

But don’t misunderstand me,

I will not stop fighting

Against oppression

Or be forced and made to question,

Whether believing it’s right

To help those in need,

Should be helped in their plight

By those who don’t care,

And have a blind sight

For anything more

Than money and greed,

Who are deaf to others pleas,

They tend to be brutal

And scathing for those

Worse off than them,

They lack what it takes

To be humanitarian,

And I don’t want to be like them.
