Can we make it if we try

Can we achieve or be denied,

The success that come from applying

Our time and energy into things,

That we thought were beyond us

Do we have what is required enough,

Do we have the resolve and determination

Even if it ends in failed damnation,

Though you never fail when you try

You only fail sitting on your backside,

Believing there is no chance so you give up

Before you even start or try your luck,

Can we make it if we try

I don’t know but I am not going to lie,

I will try and give it a go

Steel my determination and resolve

And walk the journey and follow the road.
