What will it take to energise

What will it take to mobilise,

What will it take to get angry

Isn’t people living out of food banks enough,

Or does it have to happen to first yet

Will they keep count of the deaths,

Caused by lack of heat and those not fed

Like the kept a toll on the pandemic,

Deaths through poverty is systemic

In a society that just don’t care,

Until faced with the same, then we all become scared.
