You can stand up for a country

That will not stand up for you,

You can hope they’ll pay you a fair wage

In a hope you’ll make it through,

And when you realise they won’t

Because they’re syphoning off the profits,

And you realise there’s nothing you can do

And that you’re powerless to stop it,

That is when finally, the penny actually drops

That the rich get richer and the poor just die,

Yet they still expect us to fight their wars,

It’s by design there is a reason why there’s a few rich but millions who are poor.
