I understand I broke us

But I am trying to repair us now,

But you got to want it as much

Or it’s just going to drag us down,

I know the part I played in this

And believe me I don’t feel proud,

Which is why I want to fix what I broke

But I can only do it if allowed,

I need you to try and meet me half way

Or we may as well just walk away,

And if that’s what you want to do

Then that’s on me and not on you,

I don’t want to waste your time

But if we can’t be fixed that’s fine,

It’s my fault and I will resign

Myself for being selfish and blind,

To the damage that I caused

And the blame is all mine not yours,

I don’t want to hurt you any more for sure

So if you want, I’ll walk out through that door,

And you’ll no longer have to endure,

The pain from how I broke us

It was something I thought I could fix,

But if It can’t be then I understand

And I accept that as it was me that broke this now,

And that all the blame is on me

And I will simply walk away and allow you to be free.
