I move, then you move

I move

You move

That’s our right,

I move

You move

Far and wide,

Borders and flags

Anthems and nations,

All man made

And an artificial creation,

I move

You move

Around this globe,

This our right

Only governments say no,

Freedom of movement

Is a human right,

When was the world bought

And what was the price?

When did they

Take away this basic right,

It slowly just seeped in

To all of our lives,

Nationhood is a construct

Of the wealthy

And the powerful,

Who formed themselves

Into bands called governments

But I should still be able to move,

And you should be able to move

Anywhere that we please,

As a basic human right

For you and me.
