I try to adopt a more abstract cryptic mind

But my need to speak plain and clear dictates I find,

I have a need to get messages across without misunderstanding

But sometimes I feel my art wants something more demanding,

So with more articulate words that I will start commanding,

I’ll see what I can conjure up from the depths of my literacy

But if it gets in the way of the message it may desert me,

For messages are far more important times than than verbalising gymnastically

To prove a point about whether I have any artistic mastery.
