Lonely times they come and go

In my house that was once a home,

But those feelings gone now

They left along with you,

And though it left me sad and blue

I could sense it coming, yes I knew,

And it doesn’t trouble me that you,

Decided to walk away from me

The truth is that it’s hard adjusting,

But in time I will, if that you can be sure

I will get on with my life,

And one day I may not feel

So very lonely anymore,

I will pick myself up off the floor

And rebuild a life brand new,

And in time I’ll forget about you

This is not me being mean but true,

It’s just what others often do

It’s the only option to choose,

Since it was you that left

And killed our love stone dead,

I saw it coming though

So I was braced for it but it still hurt,

But I won’t let that pain get worse

I’ll sit here lonely for a while,

Then rebuild my life over time

And replace the memories of you,

And you’ll fade like the morning dew,

And then my sun days will come again

In many different and positive ways,

And then I won’t be lonely again.
