When it’s over

Crestfallen after falling on your own pitard

Your flaws are showing leaving so many scars,

You cut a miserable figure for all to see

Unlike when you were flying high carefree,

Not caring who you hurt or about all the suffering that you inflicted

You were and are power mad and greed addicted,

Your morals and your ethics, they became so conflicted,

And now you’re all alone and you’ve been abandoned

By those so called friends of which were many and random,

Attracted by what you could offer

Not because they liked you, they just hoped to prosper,

And now you’re sad and lonely

Yet you thought that you were above me,

And that you saw me as nothing more than lowly,

Now the last laugh resides with me

But I choose not to laugh because I am so much better than that you see

But the truth is I didn’t like the way you treated me.

  1. Lovely writing. Many people wear two faces. I have a theory. I believe it is impossible for someone to go more than six months without their true self showing it’s ugly head. Really enjoyed this piece. Have a great weekend. 🦋❤️
