Staying strong seems hard to do

Except when there’s no other option for you,

Saying strong is a nice ideal

When life is going along so well

But when it takes a nose dive then there seems no hope in hell,

But we’re capable and it’s within us all,

And when your only choice is to stand or fall

Why would you choose not to stand in the hall,

Of the fighters and legends who gave their all,

Be the warrior and face the challenge head on

The fight may be short or it may be long,

Either way we must continue going

Because failure my friends shouldn’t be an option,

And giving up is the easy choice to make

Yes standing strong means that we may break

But not every hero in the hall of legends won the day

But they refused to be broken and they refused to obey

The part of their mind saying it’s ok,

No one will remember your choice anyway

But everyone who knows will recall how you gave up,

Capitulated like you didn’t give a flying fuck,

That’s not the way I would want to go out

I want you to hear my war cry, hear my shout,

And knew that fighting back was never in doubt

Because survival is what existing is all about.
