Swelter, you can’t shelter

It’s now a time to swelter

Climate change and all our shelter,

Will not be enough to help us,

From the soaring heat

And the rising temperatures,

You think it’ll just means fun summer day?

But you’ll be in danger due to the sun rays

Rising risk of melanoma’s,

It will get so hot you’ll be trapped inside the shelters

As the world heats up and we swelter,

Hotter than a furnace smelter,

Nothing will grow as the land becomes more arid

And the water table further reduces,

Then we can praise the corporate

Climate change producers,

Who in the name of greed helped to destroy our earth

Incineration of our lifestyles under a blazing sun,

Rising temperatures that cannot be undone

How will future generations be able to thank us,

What’s the problem why are people kicking up a fuss

We won’t be around to see our folly as it abounds,

This mentality shows no empathy

For our children or their kids,

As we hand over to them a world in which it may be very hard to exist.

  1. It is strange to choose to have children now, very unfair to me. Or if you’re having kids the deal is you become very activist in helping to make the future better.
