I will never trust a government

I really ain’t that dumb,

I know that they lie and see what they’ve done,

But to call climate change a conspiracy theory

Is the sign of the brain either unused or weary,

If climate change was something that the governments wanted

They’d been pushing much harder and trying to cash in,

But the truth is they can’t give up their addiction

To dirty fossil fuels and it’s my prediction,

That if, left up to them carbon net zero will never be achieved

Because they’re too connected to the money and the greed,

That pours from all the multinational companies

Keep it on the back burner that’s their belief,

They’re not worried about the kids of the future you see

By that time they’ll be dead and pushing up weeds,

If it wasn’t for the cash in from the Covid disease

They’d have let us die slow deaths horribly,

But this man-made virus was quite an opportunity,

And the chance to cash in on a vaccine was an unbelievable thing

Look how they saved us while creating more billionaires,

Is a chance they were never going to turn down or swerve

But climate change is real and a major danger to us all,

So don’t become a victim and let the right wing fool

You into believing that it’ll all be ok and it’s all cool,

We’re running out of time and that’s the truth

Remember ignorance has alwas led to an empire’s fall.
