We’re blowing. Up London

With our protests and songs,

Taking to the streets

To show the people are strong,

That they won’t be controlled

Or exploited anymore,

So we’re blowing up London

With our philosophies secure,

That we must defend our liberties

That it is important to defend our privacies,

That we demand better from our government,

We’re blowing up London

To make a strong statement,

That we won’t take the corruption

And the jobs for boys anymore,

That we won’t suffer the abuses of law,

We’re blowing up London

By taking to the streets,

Because for far too long

We’ve been far too inactive,

So they’ve carried on

Eroding our rights and our freedoms,

And we have done nothing

To stop this going on,

I see us blowing up London

With us reclaiming the streets,

But then agonisingly it’s all just a dream

Or rather more like a nightmare

Because nothing has or will change,

And things will get worse

And our apathy is to blame,

So I hope we’re prepared to live with the shame

And it also applies for allowing climate change,

So blowing up London

With our protests and songs,

Is my fantasy but believing it can happen is wrong

Because we’ve become too compliant with all that’s going on.
