Convoluted lives

It’s not always about what we see

It’s not about what we perceive,

We can see things in different ways

Uniquely we can define things with our gaze,

Our mind can be tricked by the eye

Our eyes can be tricked by illusory lies,

Explanations are beyond our reach

We learn lessons and then we teach,

Like parrots we live life on repeat,

Spewing out complex verbiage

In hope to show just how clever we are,

But it will never get us very far

Because we can’t understand right from the start,

Because of the lies that are instilled within the heart

Corrupting us to play our part,

Manufacturing a capitalistic or communist stance

We become just like robots but more enhanced,

Loyally following unquestioningly that which we are by perchance

Taught from birth that which is subliminally placed within like a plant,

Which grows and controls us at every chance.
