There are those who believe

That making the rich richer,

Brings about growth

Meanwhile the poor get poorer,

And yet the truth is

The richest one percent,

Are not the type to really spend

It’s those of us who get little in the end,

And always end up struggling

The rich move money into tax havens,

Into off shore accounts and investments

They won’t enrich our country,

They will simply bleed it dry

And there’s no reason to ask why,

It’s because governments

Know they have to take care of the rich,

Because that’s where the power really is.
