Light years away

Light years away

Away from this place,

What would other life forms say

About human beings,

And the way we destroy our earth

Sending it into decay,

They must be thinking

This race that fights continual wars,

Is not yet ready to save

Unless they learn to evolve,

And master the ability to change

And to become less savage,

And to use our minds for good things

Like sustainable living,

And discovering a way to create harmony

And to stop hating destroying and being greedy,

These are the characteristics

That defines us as a disease,

Rather than a transcending species

Able in continually evolving,

Rather than a brutal race that’s so revolting

In the way it treats it’s earth,

The home that gave humanity birth

And that is now trying to kill it’s mother,

So I ask you why would intelligent life bother,

To come and save us from ourselves

And from our own self extinction,

We’re a cause of our own evolutionary restriction,

By not willing to change

Or to learn from our mistakes in any way,

While draining our resources to the edge of decay

It’s why other life forms far away,

Just sits back patiently awaits

To see what’s left when it’s over,

To see just how it will all end.
