Recapturing what was ours

Dedicated to life

Conflated in our sight,

Deregulated by our might

By people who are less than trite,

Rising up to create what’s right,

In a society that does much wrong

We raise our voices and sing our battle song,

Fearsome and courageous we won’t be done,

Until the malignant and divisive side

Of our societies have been banished and finally gone,

We’ve been waiting for this moment for so long

So let’s seize this chance as one and not alone,

And recapture our homelands and our thrones

In the name of equality, justice, peace and light

And disregard our flaws and our tendencies to be anger prone,

Let’s finally take back our home sweet home so we’re no longer alone.
