Looking at the world today

I see so much suffering,

I feel the power of life and death

And I am left with nothing,

But the futile anger and the rage

In this cold and brutal age,

Now I don’t know the truth of things

For I am no teacher nor am I a sage,

Yet even I can see by looking

That we really need to change our ways,

Or what else is there for us to achieve

If we lose all our hope and self belief,

So give me something to hang onto

Give me something to grasp,

So I can relate to from the present not the pas,t

In a hope that my future I can create more good

Something meaningful that’s understood,

This is my hope and possibility

This is my message and my reality,

Our life is to celebrate and not to grieve,

So keep the positivity and your ability to believe,

Within yourself.
