Wisdom is not pre-installed

It’s something you have to learn,

Through the experience of life

And not just from books,

Although it is vital to read

Ask the important questions,

To the answers you seek

And over time then my friends,

Your wisdom will grow

But you cannot simply learn it

From simple study don’t you know,

Every ounce of philosophy

Will not ever mean a thing,

Unless you’ve lived life

In all its contrary ways,

You’ll never be a wise person

Without experiencing love and pain.
