Driven by the need to rule
The Vikings and the Romans tended to do,
Always this with ruthless efficiency
Use the blade and smear the blood,
And do it in the name of some God,
And those who stood in the way
Were the ones taking the pain,
While heroes came out to claim the day
Legends are often made this way,
Standing in a field full of bodies
Littered around covering the ground,
No more cries of victories or glory
No more passionate shouts there’s no more sound.
