Tell me now what is it we question

Is there anything that you may start suggesting,

Because from what I see we just accept things,

Even when we don’t agree with what they’re doing

And even though we see all they touch they ruin,

So tell me what we are doing about it

Are we making a stand and shouting,

Or are as we always do, doing nothing is that the truth

Pretending it is nothing to do with me and you,

Closing our ears, eyes and minds to the truth

Rejecting all the facts even when we’re shown the proof,

Because people don’t want to believe they’ve been lied too

It’s an inconvenient and honest truth,

That they’ve exploited, extorted and bled everything out of me and you,

And we’ve only ourselves to blame

And we can’t live with that shame,

So we ignore the ones and ridicule those who try to show what is true

Because the fact is you know the truth is sequestered deep in you,

And you live the life of a lie which is nothing new

It’s so heartbreaking but there’s nothing I can do,

Because this is the path you’ve taken and what you decided to choose.
