Keep it cheerful

Keep it happy

That is what I am told,

If you ever want

Anything you write to be sold,

Don’t go dark

And do go heavy

Keep the message lite,

But that won’t happen

Because you see

I care about the things I write,

So it may not always be cheerful

And I may not always be happy,

And I won’t always do as I am told

I won’t write garbage that’s so crappy,

That it doesn’t impact

Within the minds who read,

My words and trust and beliefs,

That every word and every nuance

It comes from the heart because I care,

That I put out there

More about what’s wrong and write,

Not pushing out some bland shite,

That may increase my bank balance

That is empty at the moment,

I prefer to reflect to those

Who chooses to read and follow me

Words of much more worthy atonements.
