Stay kind and open hearted
Even when times get tough,
That storm that may assail you
May get wicked and rough,
But it will not last forever
In time you know that it will end,
And the fact that you stayed kind and open hearted
Means that you retained your friends,
Who would have helped you through
And because you stayed true to you,
There was never any risk you’d fall
Because true friends would hear your call,
And support you through it all,
Which comes from being a good soul
And putting those you love up on a pedestal.
