What’s the difference between a banker and a janitor

What makes one better than the other I am not sure,

Both provide important roles within society

Why should one be paid more, it’s something I don’t see,

One ensures our environment is kept clean,

The other looks after money and makes us believe

That this is more important than anything else we need,

What is the difference between a doctor and an entrepreneur

One will save or try to save our lives for sure,

The other creates clever ideas that they get others to produce because they can’t.

If I ever feel unwell it’ll be a doctor that I call

Yet we pay janitors and doctors very little at all,

Yet we pay bankers and entrepreneurs way more than their worth

The entrepreneur sips champagne while the wealth producers work,

For the workforce is what brings in the cash

An idea on its own does not do that at all,

Can you see the lack of proportion in these simple facts,

You can be as rich as you like but health is more important

You can invent as many things as you like,

But without workers you’ve got nothing to sell

So why should these inequalities be able to continue throughout life,

Is it not about time that these wrongs are put right,

No, I am not suggesting everybody gets paid the same

But much more money and profits should be shared with the lower paid,

And everyone should be able to live comfortably in their old age

Knowing that they contributed in society in various different ways.
